Summer Reading List

Guess who decided to show up today!?!
After a lovely 3 day weekend jammed packed with some final wedding details I am back at the workplace.  I only have two more days this week and then I am off for the next 10...hard life, right?  It's hard to believe that my wedding is 4 days away.  This time next week I will be sitting on a beach in St. Marteen!

Speaking of my honeymoon one item I never travel without is a good book.  Whether it's on the airplane or relaxing by the pool I always enjoy catching up of some reading while on vacay.

Today I thought I'd showcase the books I am looking forward to readying this summer.

I'm still in debate about which to bring with me this trip.  Any suggestions?

5 Reasons Why My Wedding Will Be Better Than Kimyes'

Unless you've been living under a rock, or don't have the E! channel, I am sure that you know that Kim Kardashian and Kanye West are getting married this weekend in Paris.  With all the media you would honestly think that Prince Will and Kate were getting married again....It's scary to think that Kim and Kanye could be America's version of the royal couple!  Don't worry I'm only kidding about that one #notreally

One thing that the media had failed to tell you is that Kim was origionally planning on getting married on May 31st , 2014.  Once she heard that Kev and I had already locked that date down she quickly changed her mind.  Obviously she didn't want to be overshadowed by our wonderful wedding.

Don't worry Kim I'm always down for some friendly competition!  Here's a few reasons why our wedding will be better than Kimyes'.

1.  My guest won't be bombarded by the paparazzi.

Don't you just hate it when the paps stalk you?!?!  I know I do!  With the media storm following Kimye and their wedding guests around Paris my attendees can rest easy knowing they can roam the streets of NC freely.

2.  My guest won't be forced to stare at a bridesmaid with awkwardly color hair.

All my bridesmaids have flattering hair colors....no blue haired member will steal my limelight

3.  Kayne will not be there to interrupt the best man's toast.

We all remember Kayne's VMA mishap with Queen T. Swift a few years ago...I would be surprised if he toasted himself at the wedding #imgonnaletyoufinish

4.  Rob Kardashian won't eat all the cake at my wedding.

#sorryrobbie

5.  You won't have to attend another wedding for me

I'm sure Kims friends are a little tired of attending her weddings! 2 in a few years is 1 too many! #initforthelonghaul

But for real I'm a fan of the Kardashians!  The post is all in good fun!  Best wishes to Kimye!

Honeymoon Packing Inspiration

As many of you know my wedding is just around the corner! Only 17 more days!! I can barely contain my excitement.  Two days after our wedding we a flying out to the beautiful island of St. Martin to spend a week in paradise.  Again..CAN'T CONTAIN MY EXCITEMENT!!!  Whenever I travel I try to pre-plan outfit ideas so that I don't over pack or end up with a lot of pieces that don't go together.   I've been doing a little thinking and I think I can group my outfits into three categories.

1.  Day/Exploring-  While on the island I am hoping that we can try some adventurous activities such as hiking or zip lining.  I know I'll have to be prepared with some shorts and my trusty Nikes.

2.  Beach/Pool-  There's no doubt we will be spending most of our trip by the water!  Victoria Secret is my absolute favorite place to buy swimsuits.  I have more than I need and my go to style is always bandeaus #nostraplinesplease

3.  Night/Dinner:  Most of our evenings will be spent stuffing our faces.  At our resort all food is included so you best believe we will take advantage of that.  For nights I'm planning on sticking to flowing dressing to avoid overheating in the tropical weather.

Never too early to start planning!

Birthday Beach Trip

It's official I'm old!  Well not really old but I did hit the big 2-4 this past Friday!  With the wedding so close we took half a day at work and got our marriage license.  After that it was off to the beach!

My family has been going to North Myrtle Beach, SC for years.  I always feel at home when I'm there.

Kev and I beat my parents there by a few hours so we started the trip with dinner at Joe's Crab Shack.  FYI if you sign up for their email club you will get a free appetizer on your birthday!

Saturday was beautiful!  We got a little pre-wedding sun on the beach.

After doing some shopping we had dinner with my parents at Coleman's in Calabash.  Their seafood is amazing and it has perfect views of the inter coastal waterway.

We closed off Saturday with ice cream at the Dairy Hut, another Hunt family tradition.  As you can see Kev had his ice cream and some of mine #sotypical

Sunday morning Dad, Kev and me took a 4 mile beach walk.  Being Mother's Day mom picked the lunch spot.  We had some yummy burgers!  I had signed up for there email too so I got yet another meal freebie.  After that it was time for me and Kev to head back home!  It was hard to leave but our honeymoon vacay is a little over 2 weeks away!

Five on Friday

Happy Friday my dears!
Sorry for my absence the past two weeks!  With the wedding only 28 days away my life has been packed with final meetings, small details and celebrations.  I've missed the blogging world but I have had to take some time to enjoy these final moments before the big day.  So much has happened in the past few weeks and I can't wait to share it with yall when I get some free time.  For now here are a few highlights!

{One}  After a few less than satisfactory experiences with Kays, Kev and I decided to go with Jareds when purchasing our wedding bands.  Jared's was nothing short of amazing!  They were able to fix all the problems Kay's had caused with my engagement ring and reset it into this beautiful bridal set.  I could not be more pleased with the results.  Here's a before and after.

{Two}  Next week my company is hosting its annual golf tournament to benefit Duke's Children Hospital.  This is our biggest event of the year and takes a lot of preparation.  One of the main events is the silent auction.  Thanks to my coworker, Jeremy, this year we have an autographed photo of Luke Kuechly.  While I couldn't make it with Jeremy to meet Luke I did get a very special picture.  Apparently Luke loves me and my coworker Lauren.  Who knew :-)

{Three}  Tomorrow marks the official start of my Birthday Week....That's right I stretch my birthday celebrations out for a whole week. It's been a tradition since high school!  I'm looking forward to kicking it off tomorrow night with a trip to the Greensboro Grasshoppers Game.

20th B-day Throwback

{Four}  Last weekend I went to see The Other Women and I loved it!  It was the perfect chick flick.  Cameron and Leslie were hilarious!  While I could have dome without Nikki the movie was awesome.

{Five}  So I dug out my Totally Hits 2001 cd the other day and I have been rocking this jam all week!
